The Choirs of Saint Peter Cathedral

Currently, under the direction of Mr. William Herring, there are two distinguished choirs at Saint Peter Cathedral.

Children’s Choir

Singing at and complimentimg the 8:30 AM Sunday Liturgy are 24 students from Saint Peter Cathedral School. The come from grade 3 to grade 8 and practice 3 times a week. This group sings at all school masses, Sunday Mass and sing at all special celebrations in the Cathedral.

The children’s choir sings from the Sunday after Labor Day to the end of June.

Adult Choir

The 11:00 AM Sunday Liturgy is enhanced by 35 members of the adult choir including high school and college students. This choir sings at all Diocesan celebrations and other special occasions that take place in the Cathedral. Prcatice takes place at 10:15 AM before the Sunday Mass.

Anyone who appreciates strong traditional church music is encouraged and welcome to join this choir.
