University of Pittsburgh Men’s Chorus – Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 7:30 pm

Tuesday,  May 1, 2018,  Saint Peter Cathedral will sponsor a special concert performed by the University of Pittsburgh Men’s Chorus.    This music group has traveled all over the United States and Europe.   The members are Undergraduate and Graduate Students from the University and is directed by Richard Teaster.     The Program will take place in the Cathedral at 7:30 pm and is free and open to the public.

ST. PETER CATHEDRAL PRESENTS: CHORAL EVENSONG – SUNDAY, APRIL 22, 2018, AT 5:00 PM

Saint Peter Cathedral will sponsor a Choral Evensong by the Saint Paul Episcopal Cathedral on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 5:00 pm.
Sharon Downey will direct the Episcopal Cathedral Choirs in this program. Sharon is Music Director at Saint Paul Episcopal Cathedral.
Mrs. Downy is a graduate of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where she received a Bachelor and a Master of Music degree is Organ Performance. Sharon has been Organist and Choir Director at the Cathedral since 1991.
This Evensong will be followed by an Organ Recital by Ethan LaPlaca from Pittsburgh, PA. Ethan is the Director of Choral Activities at Mt. Lebanon High School in Mr. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Ethan studied organ with Ann Labounsky and David Craighead. He was recognized as an up-and-coming “Who’s Next” in Pittsburgh Music for his contribution to regional performing arts and music education by “The Incline” in October 2017.
This program at Saint Peter Cathedral is free and open to the public.
